There were 2 criminal cases tried this week in the Putnam County Superior Court, and both cases ended in convictions. On May 23, 2018, Cervantes Letavious Ellison was convicted of the offenses of Rape, Aggravated Sodomy, and Exploitation & Intimidation of Disabled Adult, Elder Person, or Resident after a 3 day trial. Anglin enters a guilty plea in Jasper County
Michael Shane Anglin plead guilty on May 22, 2018 in Jasper County Superior Court. Anglin plead guilty to the offenses of Rape, Incest, Aggravated Child Molestation, and 2 counts of Child Molestation. He entered his plea in front of Honorable William A. Prior, Jr. Anglin was sentenced to life with the first thirty (30) years in confinement in the prison system. Upon his release from prison, he was also ordered to pay a $5000 fine, to follow all general conditions of probation
