Armed Robber pleads guilty

Armoni J. T. Warren, 21, entered his guilty plea in Morgan County to Armed Robbery, resulting in a sentence of Twenty (20) years to serve. Mr. Warren's case was slated for trial this week. ADA Jeff Burks congratulated the Morgan County Sheriff's Office on a fine, thorough investigation leading to conviction of this armed offender.

Morgan man sentenced for Child Molestation

The Morgan County trial week resulted in a plea of guilty from Jerry Dean Thompson, 72, for Aggravated Child Molestation and Aggravated Sexual Battery. Thompson was sentenced to Life, with twenty-five (25) years in prison without parole. The District Attorney's office is proud to stand with the victims of these horrible crimes. Great credit in this case should go to the Barrow and Oconee County Sheriff's offices as well as the GBI.

ADAs attend training on firearms

Today, Assistant District Attorneys of the Ocmulgee Judicial District Attorney's Office attended a training course conducted by local law enforcement officers, Captain Brad King with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Department and Todd Crosby with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. The course was in regards to firearm safety and the presentation of evidence regarding firearms in court. District Attorney, Stephen A. Bradley, also taught a session in the training.
