
Putnam assault leads to prison time
On the eve of trial, Anthony Bernard Collins, Jr. entered his plea of guilty to Aggravated Battery and Robbery by Force for his early morning attack on a jogger in Putnam County. He was sentenced in accordance to the State's recommendation for a total of thirty (30) years, with the first fifteen (15) years to be served in confinement.

Today the Georgia Court of Appeals upheld a Hancock County jury's verdict convicting Clarence Crayton of Aggravated Assault.

The Georgia Court of Appeals today affirmed the conviction of Jose Leandro Mendez Morales for Rape and Aggravated Assault. A Putnam County jury convicted the Defendant in 2011.

Hancock County Jury convicts three for murder
DeMarco Draughn, Benny Hayward, and Xavier Levatte were convicted today by a Hancock County jury for the stabbing death of Bobby Jermaine Ricks. Judge Brenda Trammell sentenced all three defendants to Life Imprisonment without the possibility of Parole.
