Milledgeville man sentenced to life in prison
Clemmon Hunt pled guilty to malice murder for the September, 2020, killing of Latorra Tillman.
The victim, a mother of five, was reported missing by her family in early September. On September 16, 2020, her badly decomposed remains were discovered behind the defendant’s home, where the victim had been staying. The defendant told police he killed her by hitting her in the head with a rock and stabbing her with scissors because he believed she had exposed him to the HIV virus.
Yesterday’s plea came as the case was being prepared for trial in August. Hunt was sentenced to life in prison. The victim’s children, sisters, and mother were present for the hearing and spoke on her behalf.
We would like to thank the Milledgeville Police Department for their work in this case.
